Festival Kinesis sa vráti do Žiliny 19. augusta 2023.

Festival, ktorý každoročne organizuje Young Office Žilina, oslavuje kreativitu a inovácie začínajúcich a nových umelcov a tvorcov. Tohtoročnou témou festivalu je “Generačná priepasť” s cieľom preklenúť priepasť medzi mladými a starými a všetkými tými medzi nimi. Organizátori festivalu sa snažia uľahčiť diskusiu, spoluprácu a porozumenie medzi generáciami a učiť sa z príbehov ostatných.

“Festival Kinesis je platformou pre mladých umelcov a tvorcov, ktorí môžu prezentovať svoj talent a zapojiť sa do spolupráce so širšou komunitou,” uviedla hovorkyňa festivalu Mima Haklová. “Tešíme sa, že tento rok môžeme priniesť festival do Žiliny a preskúmať tému generačnej priepasti. Dúfame, že sa nám podarí vytvoriť priestor pre dialóg a porozumenie medzi rôznymi generáciami.”

Festival sa uskutoční v Stanica Žilina-Záriečie, obľúbenom kultúrnom centre v Žiline, ktoré hostilo festival Kinesis aj v predchádzajúcich rokoch. Young Office Žilina vyzýva všetkých začínajúcich a nových umelcov a tvorcov, aby sa prihlásili na festival, najmä tých, ktorí pochádzajú z menšinového prostredia.

“Veríme, že každý má jedinečný pohľad na vec, a chceme ukázať rozmanitosť hlasov v našej komunite,” povedala Gabriela Zatkaliková, manažérka udržateľnosti a inklúzie tohtoročného festivalu. “Vyzývame všetkých záujemcov, aby sa prihlásili a premysleli si, ako môže ich práca súvisieť s tohtoročnou témou.”

Kinesis Festival is set to return to Zilina on August 19th, 2023. Organised by Young Office Zilina, the annual festival celebrates the creativity and innovation of emerging and new artists and creators. 

This year’s festival theme is “Generation Gap,” with the aim of bridging the divide between young and old, and all those in between. The festival organisers seek to facilitate discussion, collaboration, and understanding between the generations and to learn from each other’s stories.

“Kinesis Festival is a platform for young artists and creators to showcase their talents and engage with the wider community,” said Mima Haklova, the festival’s spokesperson. “We are excited to bring this year’s festival to Zilina and to explore the theme of the Generation Gap. We hope to create a space for dialogue and understanding between different generations.”

The festival will take place at Stanica Žilina-Záriečie, a beloved cultural hub in Zilina that has played host to Kinesis Festival in previous years. Young Office Zilina invites all emerging and new artists and creators to apply to participate in the festival, particularly those from minority backgrounds.

“We believe that everyone has a unique perspective to offer, and we want to showcase the diversity of voices within our community,” said Gabriela Zatkalikova, sustainability and inclusion manager for this year’s festival. “We encourage all interested parties to apply and to think about how their work can link to this year’s theme.”
